Cardinal Farms Guernsey Breed-Up Program

Our spring 2024 kids are gestating right now and will be arriving in April & May! Check back to this page in late May/early June to see the kids we will have for sale! Email us to be placed on the waiting list!

We began our Guernsey breed-up program in 2019 using a registered Guernsey (BG) buck with Toggenburg foundation does. After a year, we decided to fast forward our program by purchasing two HB generation does. In 2021, we gained access to Swind herd bucks who bred with our does. In 2022 we purchased a second BG buck with separate lines who we used in our breeding in fall of 2022. In 2023, we had a sad loss of one of our foundation bucks to a rare pituitary gland cancer. But we also grew our program with twin does born here on the farm, buying two does with new lines and a new BG buckling from Treasured Sonrise Acres. We are looking forward to lots of growth in our breed-up program here at Cardinal Farms over the next few years. We think the Guernsey breed has so much to offer the American farmer and homesteader in terms of temperament, milk production, taste and quality and of course beauty!
